All there is to do in Ischia in July

8 things to do in Ischia in July

1. Go around the island by boat

Among the things to do absolutely in Ischia in July there is undoubtedly a tour of the island by boat, by renting it or through guided tour organizations. It is probably the most beautiful experience that can be had in Ischia: going around the island by boat it is possible to admire the wonderful coasts of Ischia, Mount Epomeo which overlooks the island, swim under the Aragonese Castle, dive next to to the Mushroom of Lacco Ameno and a swim in the clear waters of the most incredible bays.

2. Participate in the Ischia Film Festival

Ischia Film Festival is one of the most awaited events of the year. It is held every year in Ischia, between June and July, in the marvelous location of the Aragonese Castle. The Festival was conceived twenty years ago in order to spread the "Cinetourism", or rather the promotion of the Italian territory through the audiovisual. An exciting and culturally rich event.

3. Visit the La Mortella Gardens

The La Mortella Gardens belong to the attractions most loved by tourists. Well-kept and fragrant, the La Mortella Gardens of Ischia host plants and flowers of very rare species, located with care and taste, with the breathtaking panorama of Forio behind them. In July, symphonic music shows are organized right in the Greek Theater of the Gardens, in which young musicians from all over Italy take part. One thing is certain: there is no tourist who has been to Ischia in July without having visited these beautiful Gardens.

4. Sea party on the rocks of Sant'Anna

Among the most exciting experiences that Ischia offers in July, there is undoubtedly the elusive Festa di Sant'Anna in Ischia Ponte: it is the popoular and important festival of the year which, every 26 July, transforms the village of Ischia Ponte in a show of vitality and joy thanks to the hundreds of Ischia citizens and tourists who invade the village, but not only by land... also by sea! Like any patronal feast, numerous characteristic stalls line up along the village, but the distinctive points of the feast of Sant'Anna are certainly the famous and beloved parade of allegorical boats and the exciting fire at the Aragonese Castle. The pyromusical show is not to be missed which, seen on a boat from the sea, acquires greater charm.

5. Nightlife in the Right Bank and in Forio

Ischia in July is by night and in Ischia Porto the evening is on the Right Bank. There are many typical restaurants along the shore of the port of Ischia in which to spend the pre-evening, and then move on to dance in the most popular disco bars on the island. The nightlife is not limited only to the Ischia Porto area: even Forio, on the west coast of the island, is full of cafes along the port where you can spend a beautiful and intense summer evening on vacation, especially on Thursdays for the very crowded Thursday Foriano!

8. Eat a good Neapolitan pizza

Having dinner on a warm July evening in Ischia with an exquisite pizza is a culinary experience to be enjoyed absolutely. The Neapolitan pizza was imported from nearby Naples, and is also very good in Ischia! We recommend trying it at the Onda Verde restaurant-pizzeria, with a wonderful view of the Maronti and Sant'Angelo.
