Locality
It is an ancient catalan hamlet by the sea, full of colours and landscapes, sunny and with a mild climate throughout the entire year, stories and myths about ancient civilizations, the sound of the old catalan language, the charm of the most extreme sports. Places to know and visit
Nuragic Palmavera Village, among the most significant monuments of the ancient megalithic cultures of the  western Mediterranean sea. The Palmavera village is one of the most important villages that the nuragic civilization had ever built in Sardinia.

Grotta di Nettuno, in the heart of the Capo Caccia promontory, among the most enchanting natural gems of the entire Mediterranean sea, a real geological wonder that attracts more than 150.000 visitors every year.

The Archeological Museum of the city preserves the most ancient evidences of the presence of men in this territory, from the proto-historic period to the nuragic era, to the period of the Fenici and to the roman age.

Santu Pedru necropolis, an archeological site characterized by red and white rocks and the green mediterranean scrub. The rocky necropolis of Santu Pedru consists of 10 underground tombs excavated in the tuff on the western side of the namesake hill.

The Alghero Beach, the longest beach of the coast with white sand. It starts with the San Giovanni beach, then there are the Novelli Beach and the Maria Pia Beach, ending at the gate of the hamlet of Fertilia. Its shallow and quiet water makes this sandy shore the perfect place for families with children.

Maria Pia, white-sand dunes modified by the wind that host centuries-old junipers and other typical mediterranean plants characterize the landscape of this beach.

Punta Negra, a sandy beach a few steps away from Fertilia, is located in a nice inlet sorrounded by picturesque cliffs and a flourishing pinewood.

Le Bombarde is one of the most famous beaches of the Riviera, perfect for fun, sports and relax. The white sand meets the wonderful turquoise water. For those who prefer less crowded beaches, this area is also full of quiet bays and cliffs.

Calabona, located in proximity of the city, in one of the most panoramic and suggestive areas of the Riviera del Corallo and the Balaguer hill. It has many small bays and hidden inlets, sometimes sandy and sometimes with pebbles.
