Casal Velino

Casal Velino is an Italian town of 5393 inhabitants in the province of Salerno in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. Located between the seaside villages of Pioppi and Marina di Ascea, the municipality extends along the coast with the Marina hamlet and, in the interior, with the capital, Acquavella, Vallo Scalo and Verduzio. Its best known hamlet is Marina di Casal Velino which has had a great expansion in recent times thanks to its tourist vocation. Blue flag since 2010, the marina has a large sandy beach and a modern marina.

The Museo Casa Contadina, an ancient and original housing structure that re-proposes environments, furnishings and tools typical of the peasant houses of Cilento.
Convent of the Carmelites, in the chapel of the ancient convent there is a painting depicting the Madonna del Carmine, a valuable work of the Neapolitan school.
