The Hotel Parco dei Principi consists of a single structure exquisitely furnished with mediterranean-style majolicas and marbles. The use of the light colours combined with the colour of the sky and sea create a relaxing atmosphere for the guests, that will feel at home. There is a small comfortable private living room to read, watch the TV or simply enjoy peaceful moments. The rooms are equipped with all the comforts and some of them have a breathtaking sea view. The guests can reach the hotel with their vehicle, that can be parked in the private car park. The hospitality and politeness of the staff, very careful for the details, will make the stay even mor pleasant.
Restaurant
Local and seasonal products are the main ingredients chosen by our chefs, who transform the most simple product into an exquisite and delicious dish that will satisfy even the most refined palates. A rich buffet table full of vegetables and side dishes will be prepared both at lunch and dinner, beside the many first and second dishes served at the table. The kitchen also offers products and dishes for people with food intolerances or allergies. Every day, highly-qualified confectioners will prepare many types of cakes and pastries.
Locality
Forio d'Ischia is the second municipality on the island for population and importance. It is located between two promontories: Punta Caruso and Punta Imperatore, and offers the most beautiful beaches of Ischia in an enchanting landscape that combines the coasts and the vines that adorn the western side of the Mount Epomeo. Forio has an extension of 13 square km and, thanks to its rocky recesses, it is possible to bathe not only on the sandy beaches, but also in unique places such as the coast of Zaro and the Sorgeto bay, very famous for its thermal springs flowing directly from the bottom of the sea at high temperatures (bathing is also possible during the winter here). Forio is the municipality that best preserved its historical centre full of alleys, churches and sighting towers that make it the cultural centre of the island. During the '50s it was the favourite destination of many celebrities such as Luchino Visconti, Pierpaolo Pasolini, Sir William Walton, Eduardo de Filippo, and artists such as Elsa Morante, Alberto Moravia, Auden, Pablo Neruda and many others.
Places to know and visit
The beach of Citara, characterized by fine sand and shallow water is suitable for the children, and has a free area and many private beach clubs.
The beach of La Chiaia, the biggest in Forio, is suitable for families with children thanks to the entertaining service (surcharge required) and to its particularly shallow water. Its white sand and its characteristic bottom after the rocks make this beach the ideal place for the snorkeling lovers.
The beach of Cava dell'Isola is usually populated by young people who enjoy playing beach volley and beach soccer, and it is the ideal place for those who want to have fun in its crystal-clear water and wild landscapes.
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens are the largest and the most beautiful pool park in Ischia, with 20 pools, 500 metres of coast, 8000 square meters of beach, 1 wellness centre and 6 hectares of terraces.
Zaro's wood is a suggestive path that links Lacco Ameno to Forio, famous for its viewpoint on the beach of San Francesco, it is also a place of worship dedicated to the Madonna of Zaro.
Following the main street in the shopping centre of the municipality, you can reach the square of the Chiesa del Soccorso, from where it is possible to admire the famous Green Flash, only visible in particular periods of the year.
Chiesa del Soccorso, a church overlooking the sea. Together with the Torrione, it is the symbol of the municipality Forio and one the architectural masterpieces of the island.
Ravino and La Mortella gardens are the perfect places for those who love nature and want to know rare subtropical and mediterranean plants. La Mortella Garden was recognized as the most beautiful botanical garden in Italy in the 2004.
