Day 2 Amman

Day 3 Amman → Jerash → Ajloun → Amman
Meeting with the Italian-speaking guide and departure for Jerash, the “Pompeii of the East,” possibly the best-preserved Roman provincial city. The main monuments of the site will be visited, including Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Hippodrome, the Cardo Maximus, and the Oval Colonnaded Plaza. At the end of the visit, free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Ayyubid castle of Ajloun (dating back to the 12th century), located within the nature reserve of the same name. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Amman → Madaba → Mount Nebo → Beida → Wadi Mousa
Along the way, stops will be made to visit some of Jordan’s most important sites, such as Madaba, the city that houses the famous Mosaic of the Holy Land dating back to the 4th century. The journey continues to Mount Nebo, a ridge reaching 817 meters above sea level, located in western Jordan. From the summit, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Holy Land and, to the north, the Jordan Valley. The city of Jericho in the West Bank is usually visible from the top, as is Jerusalem on a particularly clear day. The journey proceeds with a visit to Beida, also known as Little Petra, where the Nabataeans used to host their guests. It was one of the major crossroads of Petra, a key entry and exit point for trade routes heading north and northwest. Caravans from the Negev, Gaza and Ascalon, Jerusalem, and the Phoenician coast once stopped here during their commercial journeys. Traders likely stayed in the cool isolation of the Siq Al-Barid, the "Cold Canyon," whose entrance lies at the end of a narrow valley. Arrival in the evening in Wadi Mousa (Petra), check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Petra → Wadi Rum
Petra is located about 3-5 hours south of Amman, about 2 hours north of Aqaba, and on the edge of the mountainous Wadi Araba desert. The city is surrounded by imposing hills of rust-colored sandstone that provided ancient Petra with natural protection against invaders. The site is semi-arid due to the friable sandstone, which crumbled easily into sand, allowing the Nabataeans to carve temples and tombs into the rock. The color of the stone ranges from pale yellow or white to bright reds and the darker brown of the more resistant rocks. The twisted layers of different colors form spirals and waves in the rock face, which the Nabataeans used as decorative elements in their architecture.
Access to the archaeological site is extraordinarily impressive: walking along a path through a deep canyon, among sculptures and engineering works (the Siq), we reach the so-called “Treasury,” a building entirely carved into the rock. Visit to the Roman Theatre, Qasr al-Bint, and the Royal Tombs. Free time for lunch and departure for the Wadi Rum desert, also known as the Valley of the Moon, following the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia and climbing sand dunes and rock bridges, where, upon arrival, a 4x4 vehicle excursion will take you to visit some of the most iconic places in Wadi Rum. This is a valley carved into sandstone and granite rock in the southern part of Jordan, 60 km east of Aqaba. The highest point in Wadi Rum is Mount Um Dami, at over 1800 meters above sea level. Arrival at the tented camp and check-in to your tents. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.
Day 6 Wadi Rum → Dead Sea
Departure for the Dead Sea with arrival expected in the early afternoon. Check-in at the hotel and free time for swimming or relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel by the Dead Sea.
Day 7 Dead Sea → Amman
Free time for swimming or relaxation. Following that, departure for Amman and city tour. The Citadel, Roman Theatre, and Museum will be visited. In the evening, check-in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 Amman → Italy
Breakfast (depending on departure time) and transfer to Amman Airport. Completion of boarding formalities and departure for Italy with a scheduled flight.
