Marina di Patti

Marina di Patti is part of the municipality of Patti, in the province of Messina, in the Sicily region. It is located in a cove surrounded by green hills that give it a pleasant and breezy climate. The seaside resort is characterized by the presence of wide sandy beaches, with medium depth sea beds that facilitate a particularly flourishing fishing activity, by trolling and from the ground. The splendid promenade, with the adjacent pine forest, is the ideal place for walks, for healthy cycling and outdoor sports activities. The historic center is important and rich in monuments, keeping the medieval road network intact. The remains of the third wall (XIV century), one of the six doors of the same period and a door of the second wall (XI century) are still visible. There are numerous museums, churches and palaces, which contain works of art by Serpotta, Gagini, Catalano, Novelli and others.
