Its extraordinary sea, enchanting historical cities and wild landscapes of the hinterland make Sardinia the perfect tourist destination even during the winter. One of the first areas that must be visited is the Archipelago of La Maddalena with its "seven sisters", the main islands with suggestive sea bottoms that are perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling. Among the most fascinating destinations there is Costa Smeralda with the beautiful Alghero, the nearby Riviera del Corallo, Bosa, San Teodoro, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Poltu Quatu, Baja Sardinia. The pearl of Costa Smeralda is Porto Cervo, luxury and shopping centre, together with Porto Rotondo, that overlooks the Gulf of Cugnana, full of shops and squares.

Sardinia is the perfect combination of sea, nature, history, local tradition and mysticism. The roman archeological site of Tharros, in Oristano, is particularly beautiful and important just like the mysterious giants' graves ("domus de janas") together with the Nuraghi, ancient stone towers that are the biggest and best preserved monuments in the entire european continent, recognized as Unesco's world heritage.
