Saturnia

Saturnia, in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany, is considered the best thermal center in the world. Located on a plateau in the Valley of Albegna, it overlooks the magical landscape of Grosseto's hinterland characterized by tuff and green plains. Saturnia was founded by the Pelasgi and then dominated by Romans, Longobardi and Sieneses, as the numerous archeological findings testify: remainings of sienese, etruscan and medieval walls, the "castellum acquarum" of Poggio Murella and the archeological site full of etruscan and roman evidences. Besides the luxury Thermal Center of Saturnia, with its resort and golf court, there are the Cascate del Molino, waterfalls that flow in proximity of an ancient mill located in a green clearing, and the Cascate del Gorello, where the water flows at a temperature of 37°C. It is a wide area open to visitors during the entire year.
